ANGRY PIG

I set Angry Pig up as a creative outlet of mine.

I first used the name back in the early days of Teletext, especially on Channel 4’s Teletext gaming page. I would occasionally write in as the Angry Pig starting my comments with quotes like “Stick an apple in my mouth and call me Gammon, I am the angriest pig! Why am I so angry….” Always signing off as the Angry Pig.

From there it grew, short films I made went from the cliched ‘Picaresque Films’ to ‘Angry Pig Productions’ starting with my Roy and Alan cartoon series. From there I went into writing, at first, I didn’t want to put Angry Pig books as I thought, people would question it. But went with it.

Truth is that my Angry Pig persona was how Ham Spayde was born. If it wasn’t for the old Angry Pig who wrote into teletext over twenty years ago, Ham Spayde would never have existed, and chances are neither would my books.

So, am I still angry?

That’s a question for the Angry Pig AKA Ham Spayde
